Consumer rights

Dishonest practices as regards economic activity are considered unfair competition.  This concept comprises deceptive acts or making consumers believe that the product has characteristics other than those that are real.  It also includes degrading acts or diffusion of false information on competitors’ products or services and/or subjective comparative advertising. Moreover, it comprises confusion acts or trying to look like a competitor so that consumers acquire these products and not those they are looking for.  It further includes the exploitation of another’s reputation to improperly deviate consumers.
